OK, I grabbed a box of tissues FIRST, so I was fully prepared! WOW, Lori, that was so precious! I love how you started with the wait. Very, very cool. Love every bit of it. I still think that photo of both of you cracking up on the front porch is one of the best mommy/daughter pics of all time. It's a killer! xo
I totally broke down with the birth family visit video. This is a great compilation of your wait, trip and now home life. Thanks for putting this together.
This is wonderful. Thanks for sharing it. Just beautiful. Also, I think it is just amazing that you were so honest in your posts about first getting to know each other in Ethiopia. That kind of honesty is invaluable for waiting adoptive families with stars in their eyes. Thank you. Thank you.
What a gift for Tessa Bezu to know what you went through to bring her home. The biggest thing that stood out to me is the difference in her facial expressions at Horizon House, compared to after she was home. She has such a beautiful smile!
Amazing! The video is wonderful Lori. I boo-hoo'd. The birth family video made me do the ugly cry :) What an amazing blessing you all are to her and she is to you. You all make a wonderful family. Thanks for sharing!
Lori, It is beautiful. I went back and forth between laughing and tears. i imagine that Tessa and nicholas love watching it also. I am sure your hits will go way up when Eliza gets home and watches it and then shows her friends. Hope that you are feeling a bit better.
Thank you for sharing such a huge part of you and your family with the rest of us! The unveiling of Tessa's spirit throughout your journey is a testament to your unwavering love, sincere empathy, and strong patience. And, it is evident the abounding joy and love she has brought out in you, Michael, and Nick! You are a wonderful woman and have a fantastic family who is blessed beyond measure! What a wonderful job you did. I am so grateful that you have shared this. (Now I am off to find out who sings the last song on the montage. I loved it!)
Truly amazing! I consider it a privilege that I was able to walk almost every step of the journey with you. It is such a testimony of God's grace as I just can't imagine any other child in your family! She is so perfect in every way. :)
Pass the tissue please. Lori, what an amazing video. Thank you for sharing it with us. I love seeing the moment when you finally become a family of four when your at the airport back home. I know what an amazing feeling it is to be home with two kids.
Oh Lor, That was so incredible! Me and Casey watched it together. I cried, of course. She is going to love that when she's older. I'm so glad I watched it before I see you tonight. Can't wait to catch up! Thank you so much for sharing that- I'm sure it helps people that are waiting to see what they have to look forward to. You're awesome!
We are praying about adopting from Ethiopia and I found your blog through another blog.... My friend and I watched this video this morning and cried. It is so sweet and I love how different her face is before and after. After being with your family she has a glow that wasn't there before! Your family is beautiful!
What a great video! Amazing! I just loved it, especially the birth family part in the middle. I was so surprised when it turned into a video, how cool, and moving and meaningful. Wow. I loved recognizing many pictures and remembering reading your blog at those different times. I feel honored to have been able to follow you and your family for all these months. Our little boys look so much alike! I just love the pictures of the two of them together. So sweet. Congratulations on your wonderful family!!!!! Also, I really hope you are feeling better. It is SO hard to parent -- or do anything at all -- when you are sick. I don't know how you got this all together! Well, I think I'm just rambling on and on, but anyway, thanks SO much for sharing this with all of us.
Good job Lori! That was so fun to watch. Thanks for making me cry. :)Love the addition of the video with her family.

ReplyDeleteSo sweet to see how Tessa is so expressive with her face now. What an amazing transformation from all the pictures you got of her before you met her.
The conversation with her birth mother made me cry. Tessa will love having this.
